Construction Courses

The Site Safety Plus (SSP) Scheme is a set of Health, Safety and Environmental training courses, starting with a Level 1 Health & Safety awareness

course developed by CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) for the UK construction industry. It's purpose is to improve site safety, ensure legal

compliance and help workers at all levels understand their responsibilities while working on construction sites.

Health & Safety Awareness within a Construction Environment

Level : 1

Duration : 1 Day (in-person)

Aims & Objectives : To provide learners with a solid understanding of essential Health & Safety principles needed to work safely on a construction

site. The course highlights potential hazards when working on-site, including what you can do if you think anyone’s Health & Safety is being put at

risk, while providing practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe

Who should attend : Individuals beginning work in the construction industry or those requiring formal construction Health & Safety awareness

Assessment : Multiple choice exam at the end of the course 

Accredited : Highfield Accredited. Recognised by CITB. Valid for 2 years

CSCS : This qualification is accepted as the Health & Safety qualification required to apply for a CSCS Green Labourer

Card, when completed alongside the CITB Health, Safety & Environment on-line Test, which can also be carried out in our accredited Tir Morfa

centre. We also provide a CSCS card ordering service​

Price : £150pp & can be part of CSCS package (Group discounts available)
